Your hospital bargaining team started negotiating your next collective agreement with the Ontario Hospital Association last month, but Ontario hospital workers face an uphill battle to achieve the improved contract you need and deserve.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we know you are burning out, working short-staffed, and earning wages that don’t reflect your hard work and sacrifice. You deserve so much more, but sadly the government, the OHA and your employer are refusing to address the critical issues you are facing.

Bill 124 is not allowing your bargaining team to negotiate a fair collective agreement. After working 18 months in a pandemic, instead of being rewarded, you are forced to bargain below inflation wage increases, while also limiting your ability to negotiate much-needed benefit increases, such as mental health supports.
